A Few Notes...

This is a roleplay room based on the world created by the talented writer Laurell K. Hamilton in her novels hense the name Anitaverse. You don't have to have read the novels to roleplay in the room, but it is highly recommended. It is a freeform room - but BASED on the Anitaverse. We ask of all entering to conform to this.

This room is NOT built upon the White Wolf game systems. Forget all your previous knowledge of vampires, lycanthropes and magic - it won't work in here. There will be no blantant usage of powers based upon something outside the Anitaverse BUT where the books end or fail to make clear, the room staff reserves the right to approve the change. LOGIC dictates what would be rather too out there usually. If not, then again refer to one of the Staff.

THIS IS NOT AMERICA! THIS IS NOT BRITAIN! This is Moscow, Russia, in the heart of Europe. Lycanthropes and Vampires alike are not accepted in this city. They do not walk around flashing fangs and powers. Since the Great Purge 200 years ago, Vampires have been hiding in the corners of existance, making do as has been done for centuries. Moscow is just that way. Nothing supernatural is to blatantly run amuck or it will be hunted down. This is the flavor of Moscow.

For hundreds of years Moscow has been the center of the Russian national culture. The city possesses the most valuable historical and architectural monuments of world importance: the Kremlin, Novo-Devichiy Convent, Church of Pokrov in Fili, Moscow State University , Triumphal Arch, Memorial complex of Victory on the Poklonnaya Gora. The Temple of Christ, the Savior, on Kropotkinskaya embankment (it became Moscow's Cathedral), the Kremlin's Voskresenskiye Gates together with the Iverskaya Chapel and Temple of Icon of Kazan Mother of God on Red square were built anew. A great number of historic monuments are being reconstructed and restored. The process to preserve the historic heritage goes on and the Moscow government bodies act as its sponsors and active participants. A lot is done to make Muscovites and visitors feel nice and comfortable in the streets of the capital city. Pedestrian zones are set up, new hotels, cafes and restaurants are opened. Moscow regularly hosts major festivals, Olympiads, sports competitions and various international contests. Moscow is famous for its museums and such exhibition halls as the Tretyakov Art Gallery , Pushkin Museum , Manege. Those, who already visited Moscow , are sure to wish to come back to our hometown again. Moscow is considered one of the most beautiful cities of the world, is it not so?

We are a city of ancient traditions, rich folk lore and our own heavy appearance of the Supernatural. The current Master of the City is Wihelm Anjou, origonally from France. His home is located at the MOTC Compund. The City Second, Benjamin Merrik, home is located at the famous or infamous Kuskova Estate. Kuskovo Estate or Palace was created in full conformity with tastes and rules of Russian nobiliary life and art of 18 th century. It is the composite centre of the "Kuskovo" ensemble, one of the earliest samples of summer country residences of Russia.Construction of a manor was carried out in 30-90ss of 18th century, its territory covers an area of more than 300 hectares, including three parks - French regular, English landscape and Zaprudny, system of ponds and channels, small and big architectural - park ensembles

In Russia the same object might have several names. Thus, The Red Square was officially given its modern name in 19th century, though the name was mentioned in the documents of 17th century. Different centuries left their traces:15th century gave the Kremlin's Wall with Spasskaya, Senatskaya and Nikolskaya towers; 16th - Place of execution. (Lobnoe mesto), and the Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed; 19th century - the monument to Minin and Pozharsky, the building of Historical museum and Upper Trade Rows (GUM), 20th century - Lenin's Mausoleum.

One must not forget the lycans, though structured in their own areas Gabriel Moon, representative of the different lycanthropes in the city, the Raj of the Advocatus diaboli (Devil's Advocates) keeps a careful eye on Gavin Lennox, the Ulfric of Ab urbe condita Lukoi (Foundation of the City) who watches Anderson Locke, Khan of the Veneratio Reus Ambush(Honor Bound) and the MOTC, a local celebrity keeps an eye on them ALL. Conditions in Russia are a bit different. Having seen to many wars, the rise and fall of communism and one too many innocent heads on pikes, failure to live by the live (or unlive) and let live are deblt with harshly. All incoming lycans are expected to find their various species immediatly as are incoming Vampires. And lest we forget the other side of things,

The Coven of the Three offers training and even admitance into it's folds, these days headed by a powerful Elemental Witch named Maurine Carmicheal. This building, once a Nunnery, has it's unique walls set backwards into a Mound. This Mound the holding ground of some of the Fae folk, much more the then half naked, winged beings of ledgend. Rumors of Sidhe and Unseelie Sidhe coming together with powers of the like Europe has not seen in decades, gather safely inside the walls, trying to stay as unseen from the - Naturals - in the city as from their own Kind in the Courts of America.

Other supernaturals are seen, or not seen within the boarders, many a time meeting at what has been established as nuetral ground in the Laughing Tiger Restraunt and Club.

The world reknowned Rhoswen Coportation , a major power among the professional free-lancing hunters, has of late, turned Moscow into their headquarters with the total overthrow of it's previous rulers.

Of course the local Polize fight to capture and -humanely- puts down those plauged by the lycan disease that call Moscow home. If nothing else, one could say that there is something for everyone in this ancient city, even things they may not be so quick to want to venture into.
