City Of Darkness is a vampire roleplay room based off of the WhiteWolf third edition world of darkness books. These books and style of roleplay are before the Requiem series and before the newest New world of Darkness series of books. The location of the home is in Sydney cape Breton. Which is an island off of Nova Scotia but still a big part of Nova Scotia. The Room owners know much about locations because they have lived there in real life. So the following is to make the room enjoyable. Ignorance of the rules will not be tolerated. "I didn't know I couldn't do that cause i didn't read the door page" will not get you out of punnishment for rules breaking. Its is the responsibility of the player to have reads all rules. This is not an actually "room" but an entire city. Each Pull Down indicates a location within that city and in order to interact you're going to have to get your character to a part of the city where others are. So in saying such. Even though this is a city and not everyone is going to be in the area, we do wish that everyone who comes into the room be acknowledged when they come in. But be mindful that In Character your character may not be interacted with unless within the same area of the city. If you're just there to observe...please place ~o~ after you name. Any question on the following can be directed to The Room Owner Lady Death Reaper or Room Mod. Thank you. Ignorance of any rule will be no excpetion.This means anyone whom claims"I didnt know because I did not read the rules" Will still be expected to serve the punishment for not abiding by the rules.

It is the responsibility of the Player to review rules set here for them.

There will be NO NUDE PICS in City of Darkness. As long as all the major parts are covered...there will be no other restrictions on AVs. AVs must also be within the sites size limit.

Posting personal information about anyone other than yourself within chat or on message boards in not permitted. This includes but not limited to names, phone numbers, addresses, locations, etceteria.

By entering you acknowledge the rules and will be held accountable for any action and/or breach of room and site rules. This includes our anonymous name rules

GENERAL ROOM RULES

Crossing RT with RP in the room, over ICQ, MSN or any other messenger services will not be tolerated. Please if you have any RT issues, leave them at the door, do not bring them into the room as it disrupts RP. Thank you.

Absolutely no Annoy names, as well if you are here to observe, please place a ~o~ in your tags to allow others to know that you are not there to rp, but to watch, as not to disrupt storylines.

We will let members of the home to enter as (ie. Jane ooc). If observing, Room controller and Enforcers may use said tag as well for ooc posts of rule corrections within reason. This use of ooc does not mean you can come in and have an ooc conversation out of pm the ooc posting of three then taken to pm still applies.

If there is a RP going on there is to be NO OOC, you need to discuses anything ooc, take it to PM or messenger service, disruption of RP by OOC will not be tolerated and could result in brass boot. (Normally we will allow 3 ooc posts then its to be taken to pm, THIS DOES NOT MEAN PMING ALL COUNTS AS PM'S.).

Remember this is a RP room set up for all to come and have fun, so leave your RT issues at the door and enjoy.

RULES ABOUT CHARACTER CREATION AND GENERAL VAMPIRE STUFF

1. This is a White Wolf room. Only powers/disc/gifts/etc from Third edition WoD books will be recognized here. No exceptions. No FF powers will work here or be acknowledged.

2. This is a Pen and Paper style room, which means a dice generator will be used by players or storyteller to determine the outcome of situations of importance (ie fights to the death, the use of powers against another with the intent to harm, etc). The only official dice generator is from White Wolf at http://www.white-wolf.com/DiceRollers/d10roller.php

3. All characters are to have a characters sheet done up and presented to the Message board for approval. No sheet, no powers, no exceptions. Anyone entering City of Darkness without an approved character sheet will be considered a mortal with an average rating of 2 in all stats. All sheets are to be sent to The message board as well as sydneybynight@gmail.com for approval.

4. Vampires are subjected to the beginning generation of no higher then 8th as per normal in VtM rules, unless otherwise approved.This is a room that is white wolf starter friendly. Meaning those whom have never played white wolf before have a fair chance in learning without having very high generation vampires killing them off before they learn anything.

5. Werewolves will start at rank 1 unless approved by the Cearn Leader or room owner.

6. Kuei-jin start no higher than dharma level 4 unless approved by room owner or Ancestor.

7. All other types of characters are restricted to beginning characters unless approved by room owner.

8. Mortals are just that mortals. All mortals are to wear mortal tags as to help with storylines so that people know when to uphold the Masquerade/Litney.

9. Moxham Castle & The pulldowns refered to as alysium pulldowns are places wherepowers are not to be used and places rp of powers will be voided and not accepted. These are safe zones for kindred and others form the powers that may harm them. Full list can be obtained form the storyteller or room owner.

10. The Masquerade is in affect in this room for all Vampires. As is the Litney for all changing breeds. We do not wish the mortals to be aware of our presence. Even if a mortal character is not in the room, always assume that there are NPC mortals walking about in public areas.
